Renee is almost 5 months old! Where has the time gone?

Our little girl is starting to reach some exciting milestones:

• Drooling: She drools like a running faucet!
• Turning over: She can turn onto her side from her back. She hasn't quite figured out how to complete the turn.
• Giggling: Renee loves to giggle! She will giggle at her toes when I show them to her, she will giggle during a diaper change, and she likes to giggle at Scott.
• Sitting up: If she has some support, Renee can sit up. We tried a Bumbo sitter, and she sat in it all by herself. Now, if I can just find a used one!

At her last doctor's appointment, Renee weighed 12 pounds 8 ounces (25th percentile), and measured 22.75 inches long (10th percentile) . She has gained 8 pounds and 4 ounces, and 5.25 inches since birth. She handled her 4 month vaccinations very well.

We have been enjoying visits with family and friends this summer. Grandma and Grandpa Ward came to Kalamazoo to watch Renee so Scott and I could go to the fireworks on Pine Lake, and the next day Grandma and Grandpa Cleveland came for a cookout and some Renee time.
